I’ve been a huge fan of Cecy Young’s photography for a few years now so when I came across this new editorial featured at Ben Trovato’s blog, you can imagine how excited I was. The model’s brightly dyed lavender hair is stunning by itself but what makes this editorial a treasure to me is how beautifully the wooded backdrop compliments it all.

“For me photography is a way of inventing stories, I find it very interesting when imagination & reality come together to create something new. I get inspired by classic cinematography, women, color, and my childhood memories,” says Young.

Natalia Grzybowski‘s latest conceptual Spring/Summer 2012 collection is being described as “part-human, part-botanic” I can definitely see why. Working with two distinctive parts: Hybrid: White and Hybrid: Printed “each piece is an art form within itself, complementing, without overtly sexualising the female form, using shapes that are simultaneously structured, yet soft while mimicking the form of a flower” . . .

I finally got to sit down and take a complete look at the new J.Crew Fall 2012 lookbook and I am quite enjoying the overall preppy and eccentric look of this collection; lots of repeating floral, tweed and animal inspired prints mixed with a varied and sometimes vivid color palette. source
