I’ve been a huge fan of Cecy Young’s photography for a few years now so when I came across this new editorial featured at Ben Trovato’s blog, you can imagine how excited I was. The model’s brightly dyed lavender hair is stunning by itself but what makes this editorial a treasure to me is how beautifully the wooded backdrop compliments it all.
“For me photography is a way of inventing stories, I find it very interesting when imagination & reality come together to create something new. I get inspired by classic cinematography, women, color, and my childhood memories,” says Young.

I’ve been a fan of hers for a long time too, she’s just amazing! And I love this shoot, that lavender hair really captured my heart.
Love this look and it’s in such a beautiful setting. I’ve always wished I could carry off lavender hair but I just don’t think it’s meant to be.
