Architectural Beauty: A Modern Medieval Apartment

Posted on May 15th, 2012

Overlooking the Plaça de Sant Domènec in Girona, Spain sits this recently renovated apartment by Architect Anna Noguera. This properly has a deep past history, with it’s roots based as far back as the late 16th century! Anna wanted to streamline it to fit in with today’s more modern world and she did just that and created a thoroughly gorgeous home. With it’s medieval embellishments and clean modern decor, this home is definitely something to marvel at.

Oh.my.word. Now you’ve done it, Amanda :) I am obsessing about this place—it’s gorgeous, through and through. From the exterior, all the way through the bedroom and the kitchen. There is so very little I would change… (maybe a little more color here and there)

    Wishing you a wonderful weekend…

That is the perfect description: medieval and modern. Two styles so beautifully brought together. I agree with Sarah. I would like to add some pops of colour, a colourful rug or painting to bring more warmth to the space.

Oh wow, take me there now! Love that bedroom with it’s floaty curtains against the rough walls.
