architectural beauty: villa-k in japan

August 5, 2010

… I’ve been incredibly infatuated with homes from Japan lately; the few I’ve discovered have really blown me away with their unique and functional designs. This home I think has one of the most gorgeous interiors I’ve seen so far and I love the way the windows look so crystal clear from the inside.

I totally agree. I watched a program once on japanese design in dealing with very limited space (in Tokyo, to be exact). I was amazed by how big a 10 x 10 sq ft building can be when you had sky light, closets under staircases, and use every single nook and cranny for a hidden storage space, fold out bed or shower. Great post.

Beautiful! I love how it takes full advantage of it’s location.
