architectural beauty: the nautilus house

Sunday, October 11th, 2009 | 7 Comments

The Nautilus House brings aquatic life into modern architecture with these beautifully crafted homes. Javier Senosiain has crafted numerous aquatic inspired homes in and around Mexico City. This home features grass-like carpet, sandy walls, multi-colored tiles throughout and unique windows on the ceiling. What else is wonderful is that each home is Earthquake proof. I know Disney’s Ariel would of loved this home.

It looks rather like meringue to me. Or a mushroom. But I’d love to visit it!

  2. This is seriously cool! I love that it’s not a typical place at all — wouldn’t you love to actually walk around and check it out?

Also, Amanda, you have a GORGEOUS blog! (seriously, by far one of the very best looking blogs I have seen) When I found it, I fell in love with your header, layout and overall look. It’s a delight to visit your page, and see your beautiful posts :)

I’m definitely adding you to my favorites list!
