What was Alexander Mcqueen’s inspiration for Spring/Summer 2009? .. Darwin. He desired to show the pre- and post- machine worlds, “When man became more powerful than nature, and the damage really started”. Engineered prints, Victorian florals, Complex drapings, Hourglass shapes, & metal-mania.. This collection was absolutely a ray of light for a rather unimpressive season.
